What if we practised forgiveness as a way of life that allows us to be loving co-creators of our reality?
Reverence for life and service to others
daawo’s mission is to hold sacred space for you as you do the necessary work of stealing yourself back from socio-cultural logics that seek to sever us from paradigms that love us and feed us.
the revolution will not be televised, it’s a revolution of the hearts and minds. a process of expanding beyond our colonized identities and identification with modernity, appropriateness & civility. decolonizing the mindbody requires an unhanding of our reins and a surrender to the mystery of life. a return to something ancient and beastly—a heeding of the call of rewilding. it is a visceral stretching of who and what we know ourselves to be. meeting the body as the temple for a “cosmic undercurrent”. the new earth we are birthing is the body – the body that is able to hold feeling both authenticity and safety. restoring system integrity and coherence, one breath at a time.
the revolution will be one of embodiment that requires us to do the thing empire needs us disconnected from: feeling. the paradox of reclaiming, remembering our cosmic transformative rage, as well as our softness and sensuality as acts of political defiance. reclaiming our rejected ability to be perceived as bad, and recognizing pleasure as nourishment and a birthright. remembering freedom, movement & unscripted joy. it is in us loving our darkest most monstrous parts into evolution.
my practice diverges from the clinical materialistic understanding of wellness as multiple separate parts that require specific remedies. rather, views the self as holistically expressing through the mindbody.
if our highest view of healing is assimilation, then we are only preserving dynamics of oppression. i’m not interested in the kind of healing that maintains the status quo. healing is disruptive.
daawo’s prayer
i want to restore magic in my life and body
i want to curate sanctity and sacredness
rediscover the divinity in every breath I take
ritualize my existence as an act of devotion to the divine and practice of appreciation
may we continue to puncture timespace to reach for each other and carry each other to a world that exists in our radical imagination.
